SweatCoin’s Affiliate Program Leading to 2.4M Downloads
> #8 in Health & Fitness on App Store

How Sweat Coin created an app around their affiliate program:
Sweat Coin (released in 2016), is a step-tracking app that allows users to turn their everyday walks into points. “Sweat coins” can then be used to purchase in-app rewards (ex: Walmart/Amazon voucher, discounts on Apple Watched, etc)
But there’s a catch:
Some users don’t realise they are limited to the app’s offers and get frustrated trying to cash-out. And when they ask how they can withdraw their balance, Sweat Coin’s team:
=> If users get 20+ new customers, they unlock the Influencer Hub and can get real money. It’s sketchy, and it’s genius:
Turns out they’re just trying to get most users to join their affiliate program:
1. Download the app and invite 20 friends
2. Only then, you become a Sweat Coin “Influencer”
3. Get resources from the library, post and make money for each new user w/ unique URL
Speaking of resource library:
They provide video/story/post assets for IG, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat… Including the same faceless intro video in 7 different languages.
And a section on memes, with different ones per language:
They even have a blog to guide influencers through issues. Ex: Oct 10, TikTok was blocking all of their links, and they issued a blog post on how to fix it.
The program became so big, that last year, they got over 80,000 influencer sign-ups. That means 80K x 20 friends each => 1,600,000 new users just from the program.
Meanwhile, on Tiktok & Reels…
IG – @promotesweatcoin => they’re promoting competitions among influencers, to encourage them to create viral content.
