ibis Paint X is doing $300K+ MRR.
The 10yo app generated billions of views with TikTok marketing.
Three creator accounts posting daily & 2.7M organic user generated posts:
It’s an old graphics app that’s still growing rapidly thanks to TikTok marketing.
They have at least three creators (likely more) posting daily tutorial videos that generate millions of views:
tt@insannoe, tt@dopuppyho, tt@ibispaintcontentcreator.
It’s hard to tell whether those accounts are directly paid by the app or if they’ve simply built an advanced community over the years.
Either way, they play a big role in product marketing, especially when it comes to promoting new feature releases.
I’ve seen this happen with multiple mobile gaming companies as well, where large communities play a similar role—constantly promoting and pushing new feature releases.
They were already running dozens of dedicated accounts simultaneously back in 2020, like tt@ibispaint_of_mix, tt@_ibis.paintx., tt@ibispaintx._.03, tt@ibispaintx2350, tt@.ibispaintx.color, and others.
Look at the views of this one: (seems operated by a Russian):
They’ve also been doing highly viral influencer marketing.
Most interestingly, they have a hashtag with 2.7M posts, created by platform users who run their own accounts and use the tag on videos showcasing their work with the tool.

If you browse through, you’ll find a large number of videos with millions of views— all organic.
There’s a massive niche of coloring accounts on TikTok, and they’ve been tapping into it effectively.
My friend is doing in-between $500 and $1K/day rev on this niche now.
ibis could have potentially been incentivizing app users to create content through in-app nudges and/or by recruiting content creators from their user base. Most of them are young, like this 14-year-old, tt@concatcuteo_12345, who has made 8+ viral videos using IbisPaintX.
