NSFW App’s Multi-Account Testing Strategy to $40K MRR

3 min read

This NSFW app is doing 70K monthly downloads and generating $40K in MRR. They rank #25 in Entertainment worldwide.

They did 450M+ views on TikTok & Reels with this strategy:

Scratch Adventure is generating $40K in MRR, and I assume they did even more at their peak. It’s an erotic sex games app for couples, and they’ve been growing by running the strategies detailed below:

On TikTok, they ran three accounts before finding one that took off: @scratch_adventureee (after failing with @scratch_adventure and @scratch_adventuree).

The account with three “e’s” achieved 81M views across 717 videos, with a 3% viral rate.

But they didn’t stop there:

People want things to go viral instantly, but experimentation is key on TikTok (and in growth, more broadly). They definitely experimented. They created around 125 branded accounts, with 55 of them posting videos, but only 6 gained solid traction:

Those 6 accounts seem to be run by different creators/people in various countries.

@scratch_adventure_fm has 29M views, @scratchadventuremexico reached 17M views, and @scratch_adventure_uukk got 5M views…

The format is similar across accounts and is well executed:

Typically, videos feature a male hovering over a female in bed for about 2 seconds + POV hook. No explicit NSFW content, just enough to intrigue viewers.

Then cut to app, showing a partial scratch-off, giving just enough to understand what it is, but not enough to be satisfied. It’s all designed to tease your curiosity.

They ran the same strategy on Instagram, and they’re getting even more traction there:

Their TikTok accs stopped posting a few months back, likely harder to post NSFW content there. Their IG, @scratch_adventure (warning: content there is much more NSFW than on TikTok), has racked up 250M total views and is still going strong. They’re posting 3 to 6 Reels/day:
